Our Community Health is a community health center serving the Westbank. The health center is governed by a local Board of Directors who are dedicated to offering world-class service for their own neighbors and to be a catalyst to improve the health of Louisianans.

Chair - Al Galindo

Al Galindo
Chair of The Board

Al Galindo currently serves at the Region Manager for Customer Service at Entergy Louisiana where he leads a team of utility Customer Service Managers and Specialists responsible for managed and governmental accounts within designated electric service area. In his role, Mr. Galindo engages with community partners in Entergy’s service area to support efforts to improve the quality of life for our stakeholders. In addition, Mr. Galindo serves on the Jefferson Chamber’s Board of Directors, University of San Francisco Latinx Alumni Society and is an active participant in mentoring programs. He was born and raised in San Francisco, California and attended parochial schools. His professional career has him across the country throughout California to Baltimore MD, Richmond VA, and Memphis TN. Mr. Galindo earned his BS in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco and MBA from Loyola University in Maryland. He is fluent in Spanish.

Jeremy Zollinger is the Founder of Zollinger Immigration. He has practiced law exclusively in the field of immigration and nationality law since 1995, focusing on serving the needs of employers and their employees, as well as individuals and families. 

Treasurer - Lawrence Sisung

Treasurer - Lawrence Sisung

 Lawrence Sisung is the Founder and Pastor of a Church Without Walls. Post Katrina, Mr. Sisung began concentrating on his activities as a minister and currently serves as a community outreach leader for The Sisung Group. Mr. Sisung has spent over twenty years representing governmental agencies and 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporations at the local, state, and federal levels. Working in the capacity of investment banker, financial advisor or structuring agent, Mr. Sisung has participated in hundreds of municipal and private tax-exempt and taxable transactions that have brought over $3 billion dollars of debt funding to public agencies. Within the state of Louisiana, he has represented almost every type of qualified issuing authority and has created new financing structures that have changed how certain state agencies raise capital.

Rev. James Brown, PhD

Bishop James Brown is the pastor of the Fischer Community Church, River of Life Community Church and Second Zion Baptist Church. He is the Executive Director of Servant’s Heart Outreach Ministry. Bishop Brown has dedicated his life to helping the less fortunate in his community. For the past 40 years, he has tirelessly worked with ex-offenders returning from prison. He also created a summer enrichment program for children to help keep them off the streets and out of trouble during the summer. In addition to his pastoral duties and community service, he is past President of Jefferson Cops and Clergy Coalition.

Mary Deynoodt

Mary Deynoodt

 Mary Deynoodt is the CEO for Ochsner Medical Center-West Bank. She is responsible for the strategic, financial, and operational performance of the hospital in Gretna, Louisiana. Prior to this role, she served in leadership roles responsible for physician practice management, inpatient services as well as ancillary services. She also served as COO for St. Thomas Community Health Center, which is a federally qualified health center in New Orleans. During her time at St. Thomas, she led the organization through a successful triennial HRSA site visit. Mary has a broad base of experience in healthcare operations.

Calvin Mackie is the President and founder of STEM NOLA. He is one of the nation’s most prolific young STEM and Educational Motivational Speakers and Leaders. He is an award-winning mentor, an international renowned motivational speaker, and a successful entrepreneur.

Kristy Nichols

Kristy Nichols is the System Vice President for Partnerships & Integration at Ochsner Health System. She has previously served in state government in various leadership roles including as the Louisiana Commissioner of Administration, and Deputy Chief of Staff and Secretary of the Department of Children & Family Services.

Barbara Waiters

Barbara Waiters

Barbara Waiters is the Director of Public Affairs & Policy at the Downtown Development District. She has previously served as Director of Community and Economic Development for Workforce Development and Technical Education at Delgado Community College, Executive Director of the Algiers Economic Development Foundation, and several boards and commissions throughout her career. She currently serves on the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority Board of Commissioners, Ochsner Medical Center West Bank Governing Board, New Orleans Public Library Foundation Board of Directors, Boys Town Louisiana Board of Directors and Chalmette Refinery Community Advisory Board.
